Mia Geurts, md

Dr. Geurts was raised in Northern California, primarily in the East Bay. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic, serving around the world for four years. Following her military service, she returned to California and earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley.

She went on to receive her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, then completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Madigan Army Medical Center. Dr. Geurts continued her service as a physician in the Army for an additional seven years.

After completing her service in 2025, she returned to California and joined NVEMG alongside her spouse, who is also an Emergency Medicine physician. In her free time, Dr. Geurts enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
