Josef Beauvais, M.D.
Dr. Josef Beauvais is an Emergency Medicine physician with a diverse background and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing and his Medical Degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, he became the third generation in his family to graduate from Creighton University School of Medicine. Dr. Beauvais went on to complete his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Missouri - Kansas City.
Before pursuing his medical degree, he worked as a nurse for two years, giving him a unique perspective on healthcare. In 2019, after completing his residency, he moved to California and worked for a large medical group. While he appreciated the experience, Dr. Beauvais always dreamed of working with a smaller, democratic physician group. This led him to Napa Valley Emergency Medicine Group (NVEMG) in 2022, where he is now the newest member of the Executive Partnership. He was immediately impressed by the group’s commitment to quality care, dynamic staffing model, and dedication to meeting the ever-changing needs of the community.
Outside of his medical career, Dr. Beauvais keeps busy managing a small homestead with over 30 animals, including alpacas, sheep, goats, chickens, and a pig. He is actively involved in his children’s many activities and volunteers teaching LEGO robotics at a local school. Staying active is also a priority for him, and he enjoys hiking, cycling, tennis, and skiing.
